Store Operations Supervisor. Promoted from head shipper/receiver. Responsible for supervising and training employees in register training, customer service and technical outdoor sports.
 
     
  01/04-02/04Glamour Shots, South Portland, ME.
Studio photographer. Responsible for photographing and posing clients on multi outfit shoots. Total creative freedom of lighting and pose choices. After the photo session ended; re-touched photos for selling purposes using Photoshop. I added effects such as, sepia, black and white with color highlights, and “Glamour Touch” (taking out blemishes and lines.) Equipment used for photo shots, an Olympus 5 mega pixel SLR camera with remote flash unit.

Responsible for stocking and maintaining shelves. Assisting customers with products in the business machines department. Cashier as needed.
 
     
 

08/03 Lamdin Films, Brunswick, ME.
Video taped performances of musical artists at the "Songwriters Music Night" in Brunswick, ME. This event was taped using a Canon SL-1 mini-dv camera. It was a great time and I had a blast watching all of the entertainers. See a picture of me at the shoot. CLICK HERE

 
     
  06/03 Web Development for Vermont Wood & Glass Creations, Wells River, VT.
The client wanted to be able to offer their products on-line. I kept with the theme of wood working and Vermont. The outcome is a web site that offers the clients products with the possibilities for expansion on the product lines.
 
     
  05/03 Web Development for Bates Eating Awareness Association, Bates College, Lewiston, ME.
BEAA is a non-profit organization dedicated to informing individuals about the dangers of eating disorders. I created and designed the web site with the assistance of Poliskeymedia.
 
     
  03/03 South Portland Community Television, South Portland, ME.
Taped and edited the South Portland Naval Sea Cadets graduation. This half hour piece was shown on SPCT. I also edited this piece into a 2 minute condensed version to be shown at a Navy training seminar for the cadets which was held in Tennessee.
 
     
  2/01-11/02 WGME News 13 CBS, Portland, ME.
Responsible for shooting and editing news stories for daily live broadcasts using Sony beta cams and linear editing equipment. In charge of nightly live shots using microwave transmission trucks. Assisted with the Children's Miracle Network telethon.
 
     
  9/00-2/01 Lyndon Furniture, Lyndonville, VT.
Primarily responsible for operating a straight line milling saw. Matching color and grain of wood for the various layouts of tables, chairs and cabinets. Quality control. Operations in the sanding department. Fork lift operation.
 
     
  8/97-2/01 Videographer, Kingdom Access Television, Lyndonville, VT.
Independently video taped events for future airing on KATV. Also, volunteered with the live broadcast of the Kiwanis auction for three years.
 
     
  5/00-9/00 Marty’s Convenient Store, Peacham, VT.
In charge of inventory of weekly deliveries. Assisted in making daily homemade foods and specialty cuts of meat. Worked at the deli counter making subs and sandwiches. Stocked shelves. General maintenance.
 
     
  5/99-8/99 News Videographer, WPDE, Florence, S.C.
Responsible for taping and editing stories using DVC Pro for the daily newscasts. Operated studio cameras and teleprompter. Frequently in charge of microwave trucks for live shoots.
 
     
  6/98-4/99 Handleman Music Distributing, Vermont and New Hampshire
As a Handleman vender I was responsible for stocking and maintaining all the music products that were in the participating stores. Responsible for shipping and receiving inventory that had been damaged. Also responsible keeping accurate records of all merchandise Handle man would receive in the individual stores we serviced.
 
     
  8/97-12/99 News Videographer, LSC-TV, Lyndonville, VT.
While enrolled in the television studies program at Lyndon State College 16 to 20 hours a week were spent out in the field. There I learned how to video tape news stories for the daily live broadcasts on the local Adelphia cable system. Technical directed using the Grass Valley 110 switcher. Directed live shows for the semester. In charge of creating shoulder graphics using Photoshop an an Apple G3. Linear and nonlinear editing, running studio cameras, deck operation, and audio. Received third place for “Best Spot News” in 1998 form the Society of Professional Journalists. Worked for the radio department at LSC and had a morning radio show for two semesters. During my work study I assisted students who requested knowledge about various audio equipment and techniques.
 
     
  6/97-6/98 Ames Associate, Woodsville, NH.
Co-Department Head of seasonal department. In charge of inventory within the department. Built displays and shelving units for the store. Ran cash register, stocked shelves, and other various customer assistance tasks.
